Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). They were born in Redwood City in California. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018. She also appeared in The Dig 2021, as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Again 2018 and Yesterday (2019). The portrayal she gave of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 won her the Golden Globes and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
